EURO 2024 - "The European Championship can come"

It's finally back: the German national team's match. Before, it was only a "game" in name only. Now the ball is rolling forward again. Mostly around the football star Toni Kross, who also has many tattoos. Two wins in a row. When was the last time that happened? I can't remember. In any case, I'm impressed by the new squad of Landsberg native Julian Nagelsmann (who not only has a similar name to me, but also grew up just around the corner from me. Just like Thomas Müller, by the way. ) Does that mean we can look forward to a respectable World Cup in the summer? At least this time we'll be able to enjoy a European Championship with a reasonably well-tempered climate live, and for everyone else, the combination of a beer garden, chestnuts and the World Cup on the big screen will be a source of great joy. the European Championship will soon be in Germany. after the 2006 World Cup brought something like a new German coolness, or something like that, it's now time again: to shed the stuffy German manner and celebrate together. There is a need for this, because after all the perceived millions of debates about "masks", about "those at the top", everyone against everyone, a little coolness is worth a little more than gold. I'm looking forward to this opportunity. The European bull is running across the soccer pitches, hopefully bringing peace, joy and pancakes. Well, maybe some fresh fruit instead. You have to watch the line. The bull of Europe, that's Zeus. A god who liked to pose as a powerful cloven-hoofed animal on his amorous adventures in Greece. That way he could score points with the girls. And Europa, the pretty girl, jumped onto his back without much ado and rode north with him. (Well, not quite so voluntarily, as Hesiod tells us.)Football and the gods are always a good choice when it comes to a new tattoo motif. What would a team of gods look like against the best footballers in the world, demigods so to speak? Then the effervescent Zeus would take the serene Rüdiger by storm. He would run past him once, shoot at the goal, and: Neuer would have to hold. Perhaps the shot would be unstoppable and it would be "1 to 0" for the gods. The hope is that Zeus would not stay on the ball for too long. Being as volatile as he is, Zeus would hardly last 90 minutes. And after a short time, he'd be off on a ride somewhere. Then we have the chance to attack. Thomas Müller would play around the phlegmatic Hephaestus, past the beautiful Apollo, who would never get his body dirty, and then, when the shot on goal is taken, the divine goalkeeper Hermes would also have to be defeated; especially as he would be sitting on the goal talking to the crowd behind him. Let's hope that we also experience beautiful soccer moments. Even if we only play among ourselves. It would do Europe and the rest of the world a lot of good to cultivate a culture of play and life, and I for one am looking forward to a major event that can be a bit boring. Perhaps like at home in 2006, where we were knocked out in the middle but still became world champions: in a pleasant, friendly and unagitated celebratory mood.
