Skin care before tattooing
Come to your appointment well-rested and relatively relaxed. You should eat again one hour before your appointment. Under no circumstances should you arrive on an empty stomach, as this can lead to circulatory problems. We also tattoo throughout the summer months. Even sun and summer vacations can be in harmony with the new tattoo and healing - with appropriate care. The days of only getting tattoos in winter are long gone.
Inform us about any allergies or bring your allergy passport with you if necessary. If you come into contact with dirt, dust (e.g. plaster, cement, flour), blood, lubricants, oils, acid vapors, acids, high temperatures, chlorinated water, etc. at your workplace, try to avoid contact with them. If you have contact with these substances, try to plan your appointment during your vacation. If this is not possible, tell your tattoo artist, who will then have to give you special care instructions. Our work is sterile and germ-free and we have a high standard of hygiene. But you also have to do your bit: you should be showered and wear clean clothes, as sweat and dirt on the skin are excellent breeding grounds for bacteria.
You should not consume any drugs (e.g. alcohol) the day before your appointment, as otherwise too much water will leak out of the wound during the tattooing process. This can greatly hinder the artist's work and unnecessarily prolong the tattooing process. Hemophiliacs and people who have to take blood-thinning medication, such as diabetics, should check with their doctor beforehand whether they can be tattooed at the time of the appointment.
Tattoo care
The cling film applied by the tattoo artist should be removed after a few hours, at the latest after 3-4 hours. (If you have Suprasorb or Dermalize foil, the foil can remain on the skin for 2 complete days - and please only start the care afterwards) Now rinse your tattoo briefly with cold water (it is best to use perfume-free medical soap if available - otherwise normal lukewarm tap water will do) After washing briefly, allow the wet area to air dry (2 min) or dab carefully with a lint-free cloth (kitchen roll). Apply wound and healing ointment to your tattoo (do not rub in) Panthenol Ointment, Bepanthen, Tattoo Cream or Ink-Fixx. Carefully cover your tattoo with foil again. Repeat this process several times a day (5-6x).
Dermalize or Suprasorb foil: Leave on the skin for 2 days, then carefully remove and start the treatment. Cling film: Protect the tattoo with cling film for the first two days - change the film 2-3 times a day and keep the tattoo clean (wash with soap-ph-neutral or doctor's soap and water) and apply cream. Then remove the cling film and repeat the application 2-3 times a day until the scab (grind) has completely fallen off by itself after a few days. Do not help by scratching or rubbing! You will remove color particles that will then be missing from the tattoo. Do not scratch if itching occurs. Light blows against the image with the flat of your hand or renewed careful application of cream will help. After a few days, when the scab falls off, there will automatically be some color in the scab, but this is normal. It should be noted that every skin type reacts differently to color and wound healing.

As a general rule, sun exposure, bathing, swimming (especially in salt water or chlorinated swimming pool water), sauna and the like should be taboo for the first month after tattooing. The scab that forms after a few days must not be scratched off under any circumstances, as otherwise the color will also be scratched out of the tattoo.
A freshly engraved tattoo should be treated like a wound! So be careful with it in the first few days!

Pegasus Pro Tattoo Cream
( vegan and naturally produced without animal testing - dermatologically tested and rated "very good")
The Pegasus cream has a very pleasant fragrance and its rather soft consistency makes it easier to apply than other panthenol ointments. ( Bepanthen, Panthenol ) It can also be used to treat larger areas. Pegasus Pro strengthens the natural surface layer of the skin and helps to quickly regenerate damaged skin. Many other creams evaporate too quickly on the surface of the skin and drag the color pigments with them. Pegasus Pro Tattoo Cream, on the other hand, does not evaporate as quickly due to its greasy base structure.
This provides the ideal conditions for leaving the color pigments in the skin during the healing process. The ingredients it contains, such as wheat germ oil and panthenol, moisturize the skin and strengthen the skin's natural surface layer. The cajeput oil it contains has a strong antiseptic effect and thus prevents infection of the injured skin. The unique formula and good tolerance make Pegasus Tattoo Cream a very popular product. An inexpensive, good care product without a lot of frills.
