1. lobe piercing

This piercing is probably the absolute classic for all ages - known as an earring or stud earring, the lobe piercing is a ubiquitous piece of jewelry and has long since spread beyond the piercing scene.

Ear piercings in their original form have been handed down from ancient Egypt. And even today, the lobe is still extremely popular - across all generations! This could also be due to the versatility of the supposedly simple ear jewelry: From set gemstones to filigree gold or silver rings or sweeping design pendants, the most diverse pieces of jewelry can be seen and displayed here. As earrings are probably the most socially established piercing jewelry, the range of wearers is by no means limited to individual subcultures or similar.

Incidentally, one way to make the ear piercing more individual is to stretch your lobe piercing into a so-called flesh tunnel! Depending on the shape of the ear and the earlobe, this can result in a considerable widening of the piercing channel (if the stretching is carried out correctly, taking into account the healing pauses between the stretching steps and the correct care. Stretching a lobe is expressly only possible with a completely healed piercing).

2. helix

Another popular piercing in the ear area is the so-called helix. This is placed in the upper edge of the pinna, in the helix area that gives it its name. The use of ring-shaped jewelry is particularly popular here after the canal has healed. However, a straight bar is recommended as the initial jewelry to ensure smooth healing. The helix is a piercing through the cartilage area of the ear - accordingly, the healing time can be somewhat longer, even with proper care.

The helix piercing has been used in African and North and South American cultures, among others, for quite some time - but it is now also widespread in Western culture, especially among younger generations.

If you are looking for a fashionable accent beyond the classic lobe piercing, the helix could be a good choice for you!

3. septum

The septum, a piercing through the nasal septum, is a real eye-catcher - partly due to its central placement in the facial area. The horseshoe or ring-shaped jewelry is partially placed in the nostrils, making the lower part of the jewelry between the nose and upper lip particularly visible. The overall impression of your piercing naturally depends on your nose shape, among other things - but you can achieve a wide range of effects with your choice of jewelry and adapt your piercing well to your face shape!

A septum can be fitted with points or spheres as a closure, or by (expert) stretching after complete healing, it can become an individual underline of your facial features.

4. nostril

The nostril is a piercing through the side of the nose, usually in the area of the nasal fold. Whether as a nose stud with a simple or stone-studded head, or as a filigree ring - the nostril is currently one of the most popular piercings, and not without reason.

Combinations of several piercings placed next to each other or a placement on both nostrils can look particularly interesting here. The jewelry variations also have some eye-catching options here - such as thin chains that run from nostril to nostril across the nose and connect them. Of course, this type of jewelry is only possible after the jewelry has been changed and your piercing has healed.

5. nipple piercing

Last but not least - the nipple piercing. This is already a form of intimate piercing and can be applied to both women and men. This piercing also enjoys a certain timelessness and unquestionable popularity - although the piercing is not usually directly visible to others. However, when pierced beautifully and professionally, the nipple piercing can also be a real eye-catcher with an exciting touch!
