Nipple piercing

Nipple piercings are types of piercings that are pierced in the nipple or its surroundings. It can be placed vertically and horizontally. The jewelry can be a horseshoe, ring or curved barbell in various sizes and thicknesses. We only recommend piercing with a straight barbell as the initial jewelry, which can be replaced with any jewelry of your choice after complete healing. The reason for this is that the piercing heals much more easily with this type of jewelry and if there is a small swelling of the nipple or its surroundings, the jewelry will not weigh it down.

There are other, decorative, larger types of jewelry, but these are not recommended for everyday use: Such needs a lot of care in everyday life and maintenance, its function is mostly only aesthetic. Nowadays, nipple piercing is common for both women and men.

Care and healing:

  • The healing time of a nipple piercing is approx. 6-8 weeks.

  • When bathing or showering, make sure that the piercing does not get wet and that no shower gel or soap gets into the opening.

  • Treat the piercing 2-3 times a day with the product developed for piercing treatment (piercing care spray) during the entire healing period.

  • Only use alcohol-free products for care.

  • With a fresh piercing, it is forbidden to go to the swimming pool, sauna or solarium for 2-3 weeks.

  • Avoid intensive exercises and sports that move the chest muscles.

  • It is advisable to wear clothing that does not press on the body jewelry.

  • The jewelry must not be removed during the healing phase.

  • Under no circumstances should the newly inserted piercing be turned, moved or played with, as this impedes the healing process.
